How to build Topgolf in Minecraft

A Topgolf venue: three storeys of open hitting bays in a long, gently curved row, each with a turf mat, a ball dispenser, a lounge sofa, a table and a TV. The bays look out over a bright green outfield dotted with the signature sunken target rings (red, yellow, green, blue, orange, white and pink), each with a flag in the middle, plus yardage boards down the sides. Tall poles hold netting round the field, there is a rooftop terrace with umbrellas and a bar, and a blue entrance tower carries the white TOPGOLF sign on both faces.

Building tips

1. Peg out the curve first: the front of each bay sits one block further south for every few bays you move out from the middle. Keep each bay square and let the steps happen at the divider walls.
2. Build one bay completely (mat, dispenser, sofa, table, TV, heater) and copy it along the row and up each floor.
3. Paint the floor edges blue with a white stripe: from the field that is what makes the building read as Topgolf.
4. Lay each target as rings from the outside in: its colour, then white, then its colour again, with a black hole and a flag in the middle.
5. Mow stripes into the outfield by alternating grass and moss blocks every five rows.
6. For the netting, run iron bars sideways every fourth block up and stack them every sixth block along. It reads as a net without hiding the field.
