How to build Jungle Treehouse Village in Minecraft

Five huge jungle trees with 2×2, 3×3 and 4×4 trunks, buttress roots and leaves dripping like vines. Thatched huts are stacked two storeys up the trunks, linked by sagging hanging bridges at two heights. The tallest tree carries a thatched lookout above the canopy, and a zip-line runs from it to the top of a mossy cliff where a waterfall pours into a pool. Lanterns hang from the branches on ropes, torches light the decks and a campfire glows on the mossy floor.

Open the interactive 3D plan above to build it one layer at a time: every layer has a numbered top-down plan, a block list and full-screen step-by-step instructions you can tick off as you go. You can also download it for Litematica, WorldEdit or Minecraft Bedrock, or view it in your room in AR.

Building tips

  1. Use 2×2 jungle saplings with bone meal to grow a mega jungle tree, then extend the trunk by hand. The 4×4 trunk is four 2×2 trees side by side, or just logs placed from scaffolding.
  2. Build the platforms and huts before the canopy. Leaves are easy to add around a finished hut and a pain to dig out of the way.
  3. Thatch is hay bales: one ring of acacia stairs for the eaves, then rings of hay that step in by one block every layer.
  4. Sag the hanging bridges by one or two blocks in the middle. Top slabs and bottom slabs let you curve them in half steps.
  5. For the waterfall, place one water source at the top of the channel and let it pour over the edge. Fill the pool with sources so it does not dry up.
  6. The zip-line is a diagonal line of iron bars. Place a temporary block under each step as you go, then break it.
  7. Hanging leaf strands under the canopy stand in for vines. In survival, use real vines and let them grow down.
