How to build Pokémon Center in Minecraft

The building every trainer runs to after a tough battle: white walls, a stepped red roof crowned by a giant Poké Ball, a red "P" sign over glass sliding doors, and inside the healing counter with Nurse Joy, Chansey and the healing machine, the PC in the corner and a comfy waiting area. Out front a stone path runs between flower beds to a giant Poké Ball statue and a Pikachu statue.

Building tips

  1. Lay the white floor and walls first, then the four red roof steps. Each step is a ring one block in from the one below, so the roof is quick to build layer by layer.
  2. Build the rooftop Poké Ball as a flat disc two blocks thick: red on top, white below and a black band through the middle with a white button.
  3. Leave a one-block gap between the two glass door panels so the sliding doors look like they are just opening for you.
  4. Pikachu is two egg shapes (body and a wider head). Paint the face on the front afterwards: black eyes with a white glint, red cheeks and a tiny nose.
  5. Light the lobby with glowstone set into the ceiling so the Center glows invitingly at night, just like in the games.
