How to build Upside-Down House in Minecraft

A two-storey family home that has been flipped over and balanced on the ridge of its roof. The chimney is stuck in the ground, the front door is near the top, and the front yard hangs off the top with its lawn, picket fence, mailbox, tree and the family car still parked on the driveway, all upside down. Inside, the sofa, beds, kitchen and lamps are all stuck to the ceiling.

Building tips

1. Build it in your head the right way up, then flip it: every layer you would normally place at height h goes at 17 − h instead. Start at the ground with the roof ridge and work upwards towards the foundations.
2. Everything that normally stands on a floor goes on the underside of the block above it. Use upside-down stairs for chairs and sofas, top slabs for tables, and hanging lanterns become standing ones.
3. Moss blocks make the upside-down lawn: grass only has its green on top, but moss is green on every face, so the turf looks right from below.
4. Lay the dirt chunk on top a little ragged at the edges and poke a few roots and stones through it. It should look like the whole plot was ripped out of the ground.
5. Put gravel and cobblestone around the ridge and the chimney so they look like they crashed into the lawn.
6. The car is only three blocks wide. Wheels go at the top now, touching the driveway, with the roof hanging down.
