Building tips
- Start from the centre line (x = 0) and build one half, then mirror it. The whole south facade is symmetrical.
- The portico is two half-circles: the bowed wall of the Blue Room at radius 6 and the ring of columns at radius 10. Mark both on the ground before you build up.
- Make each column a plus shape of quartz pillars. It reads as round from a distance and leaves gaps you can see through.
- End rods make perfect thin white balusters for the roof railing and the Truman Balcony.
- Recess the windows one block and use dark stained glass. Pure white walls need that shadow or the facade looks flat.
- Lay out the driveway as a big curve that meets the portico, then fill the lawn inside it. The fountain goes in the middle of the lawn.
