How to build Bob's Burgers in Minecraft

The Belchers' tall, skinny restaurant: a green-trimmed diner with big windows and a white BOB'S sign, two floors of apartment above and a giant burger on the roof. Bob mans the grill inside, Louise leans out of an upstairs window in her pink bunny-ear hat, and the Burger of the Day board waits on the sidewalk. Next door is the gloomy grey funeral home with a spare coffin propped by the door, and out front the pest control van has parked again, with an enormous rat on its roof grinning at the customers.

Building tips

1. Build the restaurant as a tall box 15 wide and 11 deep. Ground floor 6 high, then two apartment floors of 5 each. The extra height downstairs leaves room for the sign band.
2. Green trim is the look: frame every window and the shop front in green, and keep the walls pale so the trim pops.
3. The giant burger is just stacked circles: orange bun, green lettuce, yellow cheese, brown patty and a domed top bun. Make the cheese stick out one block further so it looks melty.
4. The rat is two grey blobs (a long body and a smaller head) with pink ears, a pink nose, two white buck teeth and a long pink tail draped down the back of the van.
5. Put the funeral home right against the restaurant with no gap, in dull grey stone with tiny dark windows. The contrast with the cheerful burger shop is the joke.
