How to build Grumpy Cat Statue in Minecraft

A monument to the internet's most unimpressed cat. Grumpy Cat sits on a stone plinth with her cream face, grey-brown tabby mask, piercing blue eyes and that legendary upside-down frown, while the plinth answers every question you could ask her in giant red letters: NO. Someone brought her a birthday cake and a present. She is not having it.

Building tips

  1. Build the head as a wide, slightly squashed egg: Grumpy Cat's face is broad and flat. It should be wider than the body underneath it.
  2. The frown is the whole statue. Paint it last on the white muzzle: a short line down from the pink nose, then a curve that drops at both ends like an upside-down U.
  3. Angle the eyebrows down toward the nose (outer ends one block higher than inner ends). Level eyebrows make her look sleepy instead of furious.
  4. Light gray terracotta and gray terracotta make a great grey-brown tabby fur. Scatter a few of each across the top of the head and back so it looks furry, not striped.
  5. Make the red NO. letters stick out one block from the white panel so they cast a shadow and read from far away.
