How to build Leaning Tower of Pisa in Minecraft

The famous white bell tower of Pisa, leaning south on its green lawn. A blind-arched ground floor, six stacked rings of columns and arches, a railed roof terrace and a smaller belfry with a golden bell on top. Every 7 layers the whole tower steps one block over, which gives it that unmistakable tilt.

Building tips

  1. Build one layer at a time and count: every 7 layers, start the next layer one block further south. That single rule makes the whole lean.
  2. Each gallery floor is the same 4 layers (floor, two layers of fence-post columns, solid arch band), so once you have built one you can repeat it six times.
  3. Place columns on every other block around the edge ring. The gaps between them become the open arcades.
  4. White wool is cheap with a few sheep and shears, and birch fences give pale columns. Swap in quartz or white concrete later for a cleaner marble look.
  5. Lay the gravel path and lawn first so you can see the base line. That makes the lean easy to judge by eye.
